“Where Did the Bats Go?” from the “Sustainable Martha’s Vineyard” documentary series

Did you know that the Northern Long Eared Bat (NLEB) has lost 95% of its population in New England in the last decade but they seem to be thriving here on Martha’s Vineyard?

Sustainable Martha’s Vineyard follows wildlife biologists Luanne Johnson and Liz Baldwin of BiodiversityWorks as they track and study this endangered bat.

The Northern Long Eared Bat (NLEB), once the most populous bat in the northeast, has lost 95% of its population in the last decade. The species was recently listed as threatened nationwide and endangered in the state of Massachusetts.
