“Forward to Nature” from the “Sustainable Martha’s Vineyard” documentary series

Kevin Brennan takes growing locally to a new level with his innovative orchard at Island Grown Initiative’s Thimble Farm. By carefully observing natural systems, he designed a food-producing system that utilizes local soil types, key-line drainage, multi canopy forestry and livestock grazing to cut the use of fossil fuels, fertilizers and watering. His idea is to work with what already thrives in our biosphere while bringing the community together through nature connection.
